About

I am a PhD student in the EvoSym Team led by Prof. Anja Spang at the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ). My research focuses on the evolution of archaeal symbionts, with a particular emphasis on the DPANN archaea. I employ phylogenomic approaches and experimental evolution to uncover the evolution of these archaea.

I received my Master’s degree from Shenzhen University, where I conducted research under the supervision of Prof. Meng Li and Prof. Yang Liu. My work there explored the diversity, metabolic potential, and evolutionary history of Woesearchaeota and Asgard archaea through metagenomic analyses.
